Heart and Vascular Surgery

Bypass Surgeries; Coronary bypass surgery is a procedure that restores blood flow to your heart muscle by diverting the flow of blood around a section of a blocked artery in the heart. The surgery uses a healthy blood vessel taken from the leg, arm, chest or abdomen and connects it to the other arteries in the heart so that blood is bypassed around the diseased or blocked area.

Heart Valve Surgery; Heart valve surgery is a procedure to treat heart valve disease. In heart valve disease, one or more of the four heart valves that keep blood flowing in the correct direction through the heart doesn't function properly. It may be due to a congenital defect or problems occurred later in life. In the heart valve surgery the surgeon repairs or replaces the heart valve.

Arterial Diseases; Any problem in the artheries affect the functioning of the entire body. Plaque buildup in the arteries (which blocks blood flow and heightens the risk for heart attack and stroke), expansions, contractions and dysfunctions of the arteries are the conditions that have to be treated. As soon the condition is diagnosed using coronary angiography the surgery to replace or repaire of the artery is performed at our Hospital.

Vascular Diseases; Varicose which occurs usually in the legs where the leaflet valves in the vein to prevent blood from flowing backwards doesn't work properly and leaks the dirty blood back is the most common vascular disease. During the varicose surgery in our hospital, the enlarged vein caused by the leakage of the blood is stripped without causing any harm to any other veins.

Congenital Heart Disorders; Abnormalities in cardiovascular structures that occur before birth may cause many diseases in adult life. Congenital heart surgeries can correct those congenital disorders like heart valve defects and ventricular septal defects. Early diagnosis and treatment of the congenital disorders is important to improve the future life quality of the patient.

Minimally Invasive (Closed Bypass)

Minimally Invasive By-Pass (Closed By-Pass) surgery is by-pass surgery performed by entering between the ribs with an incision of about 8-10 cm above the breast, without cutting the sternum bone, popularly known as the sternum or breastbone.

Minimally Invasive By-Pass (Closed By-Pass) surgeries are successfully performed in our hospital by an experienced staff who received special training in this regard.

Since the sternum is not cut in the operations performed with the closed bypass method, the time to return to daily life is much shorter compared to the open bypass.

In patients who underwent surgery with the closed by-pass method, there is no restriction of turning to the right and left in the bed in the post-operative life. The vehicle can be used within two weeks after the operation.

In operations performed with the closed by-pass method, the comfort and quality of life of the patient after the operation is much higher than in the open by-pass operation.

Since the sternum is not cut in the operations performed with the closed by-pass method, it has a very positive contribution to the psychology of the patient.
